| When
playing tournaments at Kiwi Poker, players must accept that disconnections do
happen from time to time due to the nature of internet connectivity. In the majority
of cases, disconnections are a result of poor connectivity at some point between
the player's terminal and the game servers. Kiwi Poker cannot be held responsible
for the failure of service providers to maintain connectivity on their networks.
In view of this, Kiwi Poker does not recommend the use of dial-up services and
suggests that players use the fastest and most reliable service provider available.
Player Disconnections The card room software is designed to re-launch
a player's tournament table once a player re-establishes a connection. If the
disconnection is brief, becuase the game allows players approximately 30 seconds
to play their hand, then players should be able to reconnect and continue to play
immediately. If the disconnection is longer than this, then unless the player
was all-in prior to the disconnection, the hand will be folded and the player
will be put in "sit-out" status. As such, all subsequent hands will
be folded and all blinds will continue to be placed. If a player had pre-selected
their next action prior to the disconnection, and the action is still valid when
it is the player's turn, then this action will still be made. Interrupted
Tournaments Game server faults and failures are extremely rare. However,
in the case of an interruption where all players in the tournament are affected
and the tournament must be abandoned, the course of action will be determined
by the iPoker Network tournament team according to the interrupted tournament
payout policy (see below). Depending on the type of tournament and the stage it
has reached, remaining players may be entitled to refunds which are appropriate
to the status and structure of the tournament. The decision of the tournament
team is final in all interruptions and players will be notified of their refunds.
